An refreshing appetizer fits perfectly in summer feasts!
Ingredients: 2 cups of Greek yogurt or sour cream, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 tsp of Shafoot spice blend, salt to taste, 2 pita bread cut into cubes.
For the garnish: 1 green chilly ( jalapeno pepper), 1 tomato, 1/4 bunch of cilantro, 1 clove of garlic, optional: splash of lime juice, salt to taste
For the salad: 1 diced cucumber, 2 diced tomatoes, a finely chopped salad, cilantro or parsley coarsely chopped, red or yellow onion finely sliced, optional : cubed avocado, a bit of lime juice, salt to taste, 1/2 tap of olive oil.
Preparation:
1.Place the pita bread that you have cut into cubes in a dish.
2.Whip the yogurt , milk, Shafoot spice blend and salt until smooth.
3.Add the mixture to the pita break pieces and gently incorporate using a spatula.
4.Leave aside or refrigerate while you make the garnish and the salad.
Garnish: Place all in liquidizer and process.
Salad: Mix all together.
5. Assemble a plate for the shafoot. In a plate scoop some of the yogurt and the pita. Top with some of the garnish and the salad.
